A brief presentation regarding significant changes that DEEP's Pretreatment Programs will be considering for the Categorical Industrial User and Miscellaneous General Permits in the coming months.   These General Permits regulate a large number of industrial user discharges to POTWs throughout the state.

Community Coastal Resiliency

The presentation will focus on the risk and vulnerability of the Town of Old Saybrook's on-site septic system to coastal flooding today and in the future. The key parts of the presentation will provide an overview of the Coastal Community Resilience Study, and present details on the risk and vulnerability assessment of Old Saybrook's wastewater treatment systems. It will also provide an overview of the next steps.
Emergency Response Planning

The presentation will review the process of assembling the GNHWPCA's Emergency Response Plan which is intended to be a consolidated response reference for the full range of potential emergency conditions the GNHWPCA faces.  The presentation highlights a recent emergency and how this "living document" generates "lessons learned".
