PETER GROSE, P.E., FUSS AND O'NEILL
Peter Grose graduated from Dartmouth College in 1975 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. In 1979 he earned his Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He is a register Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.
He is currently still at his first job, employed at Fuss & O’Neill, where he was hired on July 2, 1979 and has continued for the past 39 years. Peter has held many positions, from Staff Engineer to CEO. For the past 8 years, he has been President and Chief Executive Officer.
Over the years, Peter has directed some of Fuss & O’Neill’s largest projects, assisting municipal clients to bring major wastewater programs through planning, funding, design and construction phases. Collaboration and consensus-building between municipal agencies and staff, regulatory officials and the public have been key elements to the success of these programs.
Peter has directed wastewater projects for numerous Connecticut municipalities, including Coventry, Newtown, Old Saybrook, The Bolton Lakes Region, Burlington, Groton, Beacon Falls, Hebron, Essex, Clinton, Farmington, Windham and New Fairfield. Many CAWPCA members have been his clients over the years.
Peter has served for NEWEA as Connecticut State Director from 2007-2010 and as Government Affairs Committee Chair from 2014-2017. As GAC Chair, Peter raised the professionalism and visibility of the annual NEWEA Washington DC Fly-In to new levels. He was also an early supporter of CAWPCA and a proud member of NEWEA’s 5S, the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers.
